Our farmhouse was built in 1916. With the intentions of making it a guesthouse, it was completely renovated and is up to modern standards. We offer you comfort, ease, care and a cosy atmosphere in the characteristic Frisian tree rich lake area.
One can set out for many activities, using our guesthouse as a home base.

This beautiful Frisian region is to a certain extent an undiscovered area where nature, peace and quiet are still a part of every day life.
Here you will find an expansive network of foot- and cyclingpaths and ideal surroundings for long walks and cycling trips.

This is a precious part of the Netherlands where mass tourism hasn’t taken hold.

The Farm-house has four double rooms with private shower and toilet and two ‘family rooms’ with a double bed and a bunk bed. For these guests bathroom facilities are near the rooms. All rooms have a television with satellite reception.

After a good nights sleep, you will find an elaborate self-service breakfast buffet prepared for you in the lounge. Whether you are an early bird or want to sleep in, we offer you the possibility to enjoy your breakfast in your own time.

In the cosy lounge you can relax from your day’s efforts or simply enjoy each others company. A drink, a bite to eat or a proper meal if you so please? Just ask us. We will do our very best to satisfy your wishes and to make your stay an enjoyable one.
In the lounge you will also find a TV, a CD-player, a radio and a cupboard full of toys and games. We now also have a wireless network for internet which you can log onto.
In short, here you can enjoy the pleasures of simplicity.

Round about the farmhouse there is a large garden, several terraces and a playing field with room for sports and games.
We also have a ‘pingo’ on our grounds, which is a protected natural pond that developed during the Ice age from melting water. Since way back when they have been watering-places for wild animals.
You can make use of our sauna, we rent out bikes and we have a pool for little children and much more.

Appealing destinations within a 30 km range:
The beautiful ‘Lauwers’ lake area is within a 15 minute drive. There also the ferry leaves for the island of Schiermonnikoog, which is a nice daytrip.
Even closer are the lake of Bergum and various possibilities for cultural activities. The internationally known botanic gardens of ‘De Kruidhof’ are only four kilometres away in Buitenpost.
Horseback riding, an outside swimming pool and much more are all nearby.
The lovely cities Groningen, Leeuwarden, and Drachten and the picturesque town Dokkum are all within a range of 30 kilometres and less. There you can enjoy the pleasures that cities have to offer.

Two people can stay for only € 59,- per night incl. an elaborate breakfast buffet. For single use of a double room you receive € 15,- discount on the 2-person room price.
